Why watch this film?
Set in Germany during World War II, but with a spaghetti western sensibility, Blood and Gold is a war film directed by Peter Thorwarth (Blood Red Sky) with an evident Tarantino-like sensibility. The plot follows a German deserter who becomes involved alongside a young Jewish woman in a battle against the Nazis, who are searching for hidden gold. Acidic humor, exaggerated violence, and Nazi blood flowing everywhere make it comparable to Inglourious Basterds, and even if it doesn't reach the same levels, it's a fun substitute.

The genre of vampire stories really evolved with 'Blood Red Sky'. If you like those that flirt with action - like 'Blade' and 'Underworld' - you will find this one a delight, since much of it takes place inside an airplane, hijacked by a terrorist. Nobody would imagine such a scenario for a vampire production, but this narrative worked out very well. The development ends up being much more complex than it seemed at the beginning of the story. The characters manage to gain good depth, without exaggeration or lack of details, and the plot twists are interesting.

The Fall Guy
The Fall Guy is one of those films that seem designed to have it all and thus please the broadest audience possible. Based on the 1980s series of the same name and directed by David Leitch (former stunt double and now director of films like Bullet Train and Deadpool 2), the movie follows Colt Seavers (Ryan Gosling), a down-on-his-luck stunt double who must investigate the mysterious disappearance of actor Tom Ryder (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), as this would ruin the first movie of his beloved, filmmaker Jody (Emily Blunt). And the major problem with this movie is that it tries to be everything: romantic comedy, action comedy, Hollywood satire, crime mystery, and more, hampered by the magnitude of its own ambitions, as well as an overloaded and unclear script. You can enjoy it as an insight into the world behind action cinema, and for the charisma of Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt.
