Unfrosted follows the path of films exploring the creation of iconic products, akin to Air and The Beanie Bubble. Here, however, director and protagonist Jerry Seinfeld tells the story of Pop-Tarts, a treat born during a time when milk and cereal ruled breakfast. Entertaining, albeit following the basics of this storytelling style, the film unveils a little-known and genuinely funny tale.

Die Hart 2: Die Harter is the unlikely Amazon Prime Video sequel starring Kevin Hart (Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle). Heavily anchored in slapstick comedy, the film shows Hart planning an innovative action movie with improvised and unexpected scenes to cement his legacy as the greatest. However, a blind spot leads him to fall victim to a vengeful plot from his past. With echoes of The Fall Guy, it's a fun, exaggerated, and outrageous comedy film, just like the previous one. It doesn't surprise at all, but it might get a few good laughs from the audience.

Directorial feature debut of Chris Pine (Star Trek), Poolman is the story of a pool cleaner who inexplicably finds himself embroiled in an investigation that ties him to corrupt politicians and criminals in Los Angeles, revealing truths about his beloved hometown—and about himself. Despite great performances from a cast including Annette Bening, Danny DeVito, Jennifer Jason Leigh, DeWanda Wise, and John Ortiz, the film has been panned by critics, and not without reason: the script is somewhat chaotic and inconsistent in tone, but Pine manages to make something fun out of the movie. A potential cult classic.

The American Society of Magical Negroes is a fantasy comedy with a rather original idea: it follows the journey of Aren (Justice Smith, from Detective Pikachu), who is recruited into a secret society of magical black people who dedicate their lives to a cause of utmost importance. Although it follows the playbook of this type of film, with the look, format, and story of an afternoon TV movie, the feature film is a good pastime that brings fantasy to black culture.
