Fathi and Muhsen are friends who live together in a boardinghouse, and neither of them works. Muhsen falls in love with the doctor Samyah and she reciprocates his feelings. A job opportunity is available on Samyah's father's farm, but the only condition for this job is that the employee must be married and he has to lie to get the job. Fathi wears women's clothes and goes with Muhsen to the farm as Muhsen's wife, and events escalate.
