This 'family-in-the-making' comedy follows the decision of a cool and established gay couple in their forties to have children, only to discover the many, many, many unforeseen obstacles that keep popping up and blocking the happy ending to their story... at least the happy ending they had planned.

"A few years ago, we only saw LGBT+ stories in independent films, outside of the context of popular cinema. This scenario has changed and, little by little, characters that are easy to identify (without clichés) are present in various films. 'Los Adoptantes' is a delightful comedy about relationships and family. In the story, Martin (Diego Gentile) wants to adopt a child but his partner, Leonardo (Rafael Spregelburd), who was adopted, does not know if he wants the same as Martin. The film shows the couple with all the possible insecurities and their human side - without weighing any type of stereotype. 'Los Adoptantes' also deals with the complex adoption process in Argentina and also how it can be difficult for two people to decide to raise a child."
