Why watch the movie Witches in the Woods?
"From Canadian filmmaker expert in horror, Jordan Baker (‘The Swamp’), ‘La noche de la bruja’ is one of those films that, with a limited budget, opt to develop its plot in a handful of locations and with few characters, betting on creating an atmosphere of constant tension and an allegorical background that in this case questions how certain types of privilege, sheer perception, and ignorance have given rise to persecution and injustice throughout history. The execution is not always good, and if it must be compared, Robert Eggers' 'The Witch' does a better job exploring these themes. However, the production values are solid, the acting and special effects are convincing, and it is quite commendable to develop a film in such a claustrophobic environment. It's worth a chance from fans of psychological horror with deeper thematic depth, beyond mere scares and gratuitous violence."
