After the human race has been wiped out, Del lives in an empty town, content in his solitude and the utopia he has methodically created for himself, until he meets young Grace, who wants to stay with him.

Between drama, suspense and science fiction, the movie approaches dystopia from a less conventional perspective: that of someone who feels more comfortable without company than surrounded by other people (something contrary, for example, to what was seen in 'Seeking a Friend for the End of the World'), making it an extraordinarily beautiful treatise on loneliness. The screenplay is the weakest aspect, since it takes a long time to get to its first twist, despite the performances of Peter Dinklage ('Game of Thrones') and Elle Fanning ('Neon Demon')."
