However, 'The Last Man on the Moon' is a documentary that goes beyond, not in the epic proportions of space travel, but in the intimacy of those who dare to undertake it. Documentary filmmaker Mark Craig compiles archival footage of the missions, home movies and testimonies - including Cernan's own - to momentarily remove the halo of heroism around astronauts and expose the deep personal cost of the "space race"."
