A woman wakes up on a distant planet and finds the crew of her space station viciously killed. Her investigation into what happened sets in motion a terrifying chain of events.
"Ash is a horror and science fiction film by director Flying Lotus (V/H/S/99), in a style similar to the Alien saga. The story follows a woman (Mexican actress Eiza González) who wakes up on a hostile planet, with her companions brutally murdered and fragmented memories of what happened. Along with the man who comes to help her (Aaron Paul from Breaking Bad), she must uncover what occurred, but their investigation triggers a violent chain of events. It’s an enjoyable film, fascinating for its psychedelic and extravagant visuals, although narrative originality isn’t its strong suit. Ideal if you’re looking for horror and science fiction in a visually striking package."
