Why watch the movie New Wave?
"A biographical drama that revisits the aesthetic revolution of the French New Wave under Oscar-nominated director Richard Linklater (Boyhood, Before Sunrise), who reimagines the making of Breathless with young performers embodying key figures of French film mythology, including Jean Seberg, Jean-Paul Belmondo and Godard himself. The film dives into the improvised energy, formal rebellion and creative chaos that turned the original work into a global landmark, celebrating the cultural impact of 1959 and the transformative power of cinephilia — an invitation to revisit, with fresh eyes, the moment cinema chose to reinvent itself."
