Ready for new deeds, the thief Mathisen is released from a short prison sentence. Out in the open, however, he receives the bad news that the leader of his gang has died. They are now left with no new plans and no one to devise them. Mathisen therefore persuades the crime writer Rodian to move into the gang's hotel. Now they can steal his imaginative ideas and turn them into reality.
