Why watch the movie John Was Trying to Contact Aliens?
"John Was Trying to Contact Aliens is a story that goes beyond just trying to make contact with aliens. For 30 years, John Shepherd devoted his life to this mission, which did not have the success he had hoped for, but along the way he learned great lessons - and how important it is to have contact with humans. The genius had a difficult childhood, his mother was absent, this being his first rejection, and he ended up being adopted by his grandparents. Shepherd transformed their house into a laboratory to be able to transmit musical messages into space. The short film, which could have been longer, shows John Shepherd's journey with his project, SETI - whose goal is the constant search for intelligent life in space."
