Trailer
Why watch the movie Amazônia S.A.?
"In recent years, the Amazon has been on high alert. With the Brazilian government's neglect and frequent fires, this important Latin American forest is at risk. Now, the documentary 'Amazon Sociedade Anônima', by filmmaker Estevão Ciavatta (husband of Regina Casé and the novel 'Made in China'), seeks to understand a little more about this fire that burns in the Amazon and what lies behind the felling of trees. To do this, he tells the impressive story of indigenous and riverine peoples who, in an unprecedented union led by Chief Juarez Saw Munduruku, face land theft and illegal deforestation mafias. To be inspired, shiver and be moved."
