Why watch the movie Kayara?
"Kayara is a Peruvian animated film that joins the canon of Latin American animated movies. It’s about a princess from the pre-Hispanic Inca Empire who dreams of joining the Chasqui messenger group, which is exclusive to men, due to her running talent. Despite the barriers, her heart and abilities will be crucial to the fate of her people. It’s a family-friendly adventure movie that, despite its not-so-polished animation and somewhat predictable script, is positive for its revisionist take on Peruvian history and its message of breaking gender barriers."
