"Hurry Up Tomorrow is a film that is not afraid to speak only to the “converted”. Directed by the talented and daring Trey Edward Shults (from Waves and It Comes At Night), the feature film is a visual experiment with the sixth album by singer and songwriter The Weekend. With the pretension that was already seen in The Idol, an HBO series that became a resounding failure, the film seems to be an experiment on the ego, pretensions and ideas of the artist, who leads the story of a star in crisis (which is never explained) and who lives a situation similar to Misery. Those who are not interested in the story and experiments of The Weekend will find the film almost unbearable, resulting in an egocentric and self-indulgent project. Fans, however, should be excited to see the artist creating and putting his ideas into the audiovisual world once again."
