Why watch the movie The Part of the World that Belongs to Me?
"There is something special about 'A Part of the World That Belongs to Me'. Awarded at the Rio Festival, this feature film by Marcos Pimentel hits the mark when it turns its camera to the ordinary. To the mundane. To the lives of people we find on the street, in the subway, on the beach, on our own street. After all, the great insight of this documentary is not to look for great characters, but for great stories. And Pimentel does this with class, care and an aesthetic that jumps out at us. An important and necessary film within Brazilian production, which helps the audience to better understand their identity and about the sometimes invisible world that surrounds us."
