Why watch this film?
Lorraine (Maria Bello of THE COMPANY MEN, BEAUTIFUL BOY), a vulnerable single mom, is struggling to make ends meet, and to gain custody of her 5 year-old son. One night on the way to a mother-son dinner, they are carjacked by Roy (Stephen Dorff of SOMEWHERE, BLADE), a vicious bank robber on the run. He forces Lorraine to drive to meet up with his accomplice who still has money from their most recent heist. Roy's directives are reminiscent of the emotional abuse from Lorraine's ex-husband. Her fight against Roy is a fight for survival that marks the beginning of her journey toward independence.
"A tense and emotional thriller driven by Maria Bello’s powerful performance as a determined mother. Carjacked, directed by John Bonito, delivers a gripping, claustrophobic storyline that keeps you on edge from start to finish."
