Why watch the movie L.A. Story?
"L.A. Story is a 1991 comedy starring and written by Steve Martin—and it captures all the eccentricity of early 1990s Los Angeles. In the film, he plays a bumbling weatherman who, with the help of a talking billboard (!), tries to win the heart of an English journalist. The script plays with the chaos and superficiality of the city, but always with plenty of charm, nonsensical humor, and a touch of romance. Directed by Mick Jackson (The Bodyguard), it's a film that entertains by satirizing urban behavior and showcases Steve Martin in one of the most inventive roles of his career."
