Why watch the movie Grizzly Man?
"Named one of the 100 best films of the century by The New York Times. Environmental activist Timothy Treadwell spent 13 summers of his life coexisting with grizzly bears in an Alaskan reserve until, in 2003, he was brutally attacked and eaten by one of these animals, whom he had sworn to protect. Grizzly Man is a documentary by Werner Herzog that fits perfectly into his filmography, full of both real and fictional characters who live on the edge of madness, challenging the limits of danger in the name of an ambition or cause that, sooner or later, loses focus. With testimonies filmed and edited alongside Treadwell's footage, Herzog's documentary provides a fascinating—and hallucinatory—story of passion and madness taken to its most tragic extremes."
