When Anna, an ambitious young American woman, sets out for Oxford University to fulfill a childhood dream, she has her life completely on track until she meets a charming and clever local who profoundly alters both of their lives.

"My Oxford Year is a romantic drama based on the novel of the same name by Julia Whelan. The plot follows an ambitious young woman (Sofia Carson, from Disney's Descendants) who travels to England to study at Oxford, but her life is shaken when she meets a professor (Corey Mylchreest, from Queen Charlotte) and they fall in love, although his mysterious life complicates things. It's a conventional romance, somewhat predictable and a bit sugary, but very emotional and with impossibly attractive leads. If you're looking for something light for a romantic afternoon, it's a good choice."
