Lesbian Space Princess

"Lesbian Space Princess is a fun Australian animation that won the Teddy Award at the Berlin Film Festival. The story begins in a utopian galactic society where only lesbians exist, but Princess Saira is insecure, overwhelmed by the expectations of her mothers and her inability to summon her royal labrys, a sign that she has matured. Her life falls apart when her partner, the bounty hunter Kiki, leaves her. But when Kiki is kidnapped by a group of aliens, Saira must find her own strength to go save her. It's a brilliant queer coming-of-age story about self-affirmation through mocking heteronormativity, with symbols and jokes that are amusing both for their wit and their obviousness, and an art design that will remind you of Rick & Morty."
