Good Boy

"Good Boy: is a horror film with a unique premise: it’s narrated from the perspective of Indy, a canine protagonist. The story follows him as he accompanies his human, Todd (Shane Jensen), who decides to travel to the remote rural house he inherited from his grandfather. Unaware that the place is haunted, Todd remains oblivious while Indy can sense the unusual presences that inhabit it. The film stands out for the originality of its narrative perspective and some clever scares along the way, though the concept wears thin halfway through, and the premise only works because the dog seems much smarter than his owner. Nevertheless, the canine protagonist’s charm alone is enough to generate tension in the face of the terrors lurking in the dark."
