And it is this essential and controversial figure that this Swiss feature film, selected for the Toronto International Festival, focuses on. Here, first-time filmmaker Roman Hodel shows step by step the performance of a referee in a football game, starting from the preparation before the field, the care not to do something wrong and the fear that the game will go something not very positive.
