Desperate to fit in with her friends, 20-something Carla moves into an abandoned apartment with the goal of becoming a social media influencer by faking hauntings. However, she accidentally invokes a real malevolent entity that possesses her right in front of her viewers, who can no longer tell the difference between what is real and what is fake.
"Don't Follow Me (No Me Sigas) is a Mexican horror film, the first production in the country by the popular Blumhouse studio, about a young woman (Karla Coronado) who aspires to be a YouTube influencer by making videos on supernatural topics. She moves into a supposedly haunted apartment to document paranormal activity. However, her desire for fame and acceptance pushes her to take increasing risks, despite the seemingly real—and increasingly dangerous—events in the place. Mixing elements of found footage with screen life and traditional horror, it is an interesting proposal that suffers from a script that is illogical at times but still provides good scares and fun."
