A Spy for the Israeli Intelligence is infiltrated in the Iranian nuclear program. When she disappears without a trace, a thread of intrigues and seduction is shortly revealed.

"It's hard not to be hooked by Diane Kruger's performance in any movie, and especially in this one. In The Operative, as the title suggests, the actress plays an Israeli spy recruited to infiltrate a mission in Iran. The movie shows a portrait of Iranian culture and society without carrying clichés. Israel and Iran have a conflictive relationship and the production does not point fingers, nor does it portray the Iranian people as villains. The feature film avoids Hollywood stereotypes of spy films and seeks to show a rawer version. Without creating heroes, The Operative proposes a reflection on the trauma that risk professions bring."
