In 2014, the brazilian actresses Andrea Beltrão, Malu Galli and Mariana Lima decide to make a theatrical show. The director, Maria Flor, watch the rehearsals and record the creation process with her camera. While observing the actresses on stage and following the construction of the work, the young woman ends up identifying in the montage the representation of the path of her own life and her profession.
"Maria Flor makes her feature film directorial debut with 'Filme Ensaio', an experiment on what acting is. Through the perspective of three actresses - Andrea Beltrão, Malu Galli and Mariana Lima - rehearsing for the play 'Nômades', Flor has crafted a study. It is an extremely relevant production not only for actors, but for those interested in performing arts. 'Filme Ensaio' is a creative process and also a poem to the talented women who are part of Brazilian cinema, theater and television.
