"The drama of African and Middle Eastern refugees has become a constant in cinemas, whether documentaries ('Human Flow', by Ai Weiwei), action films ('Mission to the Red Sea') and powerful dramas ('Adú'). The emotional 'His House' follows a mixed path of these last two styles. After all, on the one hand, debut director Remi Weekes gives a thriller tone to the journey of refugees escaping from South Sudan. However, even so, the poignant drama of this family trying to survive amidst the social and military chaos of the region takes on interesting emotional and sensory contours.
