At an illustrious hospitality school, Luca learns the complex art of serving others, full of ancient rules. With only 14 years old and a rebellious soul, he is torn between the possibility of a future job in a prestigious place, far from the mountain town where he has lived all his childhood, and the inevitable loss of adolescence that his incorporation into labor life implies.

"In this documentary drama, director Davide Maldi dives beyond the surface of professional hospitality, the antechamber of prestige, renown, and the very idea of “serving” others, to analyze the experience of its apprentices. With a framing precision that curiously recalls Wes Anderson (but stripped of artifice), 'The Apprentice' explores adolescence as a rite of passage into adulthood, with the cruel realities it entails in a landscape of classism and discrimination in which, however, they are trained to be compliant and servile."
