'Dataland', meanwhile, goes down a slightly different path. Here, director Blaise Piguet escapes a bit from the sappy aspect of this shallow look and seeks to delve into the world of artificial intelligences. Although social networks have their moment of reflection here, the main point of 'Dataland' ends up being the possibilities of this technology and the necessary precautions when putting a certain "mentality" into machines. A somewhat square and banal movie, but one that hits the mark by bringing increasingly necessary and relevant questions to the world."
