Why watch the movie A Treat of Coutinho?
"Beginning with a 2012 interview with Brazilian filmmaker Eduardo Coutinho (screenwriter of 'El ABC del amor', director of 'Juego de escena' and 'Edifício Master'), as well as a vast selection of archival material, 'Banquete Coutinho' not only serves as a review of his filmography from the late 60s until his tragic death in 2014. It is also the type of movie that tackles the question of the creative process, as well as the artist's vision and subjectivity, captured in their body of work by recurring topics, characters, and motifs. A great option to delve into Coutinho's filmography, nearly half a century of Brazilian cinema, or to reflect on cinematic art itself."
