""Black Is King" is a visual album by Beyoncé, who also takes on the direction of the production with three other directors, Ibra Ake, Blitz Bazawule and Emmanuel Adjei. A worthy celebration of African-American culture and also of the artist's career, who has been politically positioning himself in recent years with his musical projects, and to "The Lion King" which was the inspiration for the feature film. The movie is complex and has little popular appeal with its Afrofuturist and avant-garde aesthetics. For fans who were used to more popular works by Beyoncé, this production is certainly quite different, showing an evolution in the singer's work and what place she is trying to occupy in the music scene."
