In Rio de Janeiro, the forty-something year old, Mercedes, goes to the psychoanalyst and tells the story of her life - from a child who lost her mother. Over three years of analysis, her life changes and she divorces her husband, Gustavo, and has love affairs with Theo and other young men, always supported by her best friend Monica.

Director José Alvarenga Jr. ('Intimacy Between Strangers') returns to Martha Medeiros' novel to tell the story of Mercedes, a woman in her 40s who decides to go to a psychoanalyst and this ends up triggering great changes in her life. Comedy tailored for 40+, the story is light, without any histrionic and exaggerated acting. Everything is well controlled and well dosed, leaving anyone with a smile at the end of the projection. Absolute highlight for Lília Cabral, in one of the best roles of her career."
