Why watch the movie The Widow?
"A Russian copy of 'The Blair Witch Project', the horror 'Vdova' doesn't bring much surprise to those who already know something about the American feature film. After all, here, filmmaker Ivan Minin uses the same story structure: a curse in a forest area that terrorizes whoever passes by. The central difference, then, lies in the focus of the story, which in the Russian film falls on a rescue group that will try to save a young man from the hands of the creature that inhabits the forest and, in the end, ends up becoming a victim. Everything is very generic, banal, more of the same. However, it may please those who are looking for a horror movie to watch with friends, have some laughs and enjoy popcorn and soda."

On October 14, 2017 a team of volunteers went out into the woods in search of a missing teenager. Soon, all communication with them was lost. Locals believe they were taken by the same dark spirit that took the others. They call it the Limping Widow.
