A former banker, his actress wife, and their spirited daughter book a vacation at an isolated modern home in the Welsh countryside where nothing is quite as it seems.
"New horror with suspenseful touches from 'Secret Window' director David Koepp, the feature film 'You Should Have Left' is the typical 8 or 80 movie. Without a doubt, some will like it and embark on the story of a man (Kevin Bacon) trying to overcome stress and jealousy for his much younger wife. To do this, he decides to spend some time with her and their daughter in a rented house in the English countryside, where strange phenomena begin to haunt the family - something reminiscent of, and very much like, 'Interstellar'. Others, however, will look for more horror than actually exists in this Koepp plot, which actually wanted to show how terror can also be found in a good drama. The secret here is to travel the possibilities and paths of this strange story."
