Why watch the movie At Midnight I'll Take Your Soul?
"One of the great classics of Brazilian cinema, 'At Midnight I Will Take Your Soul' was the great consecration of José Mojica Marins and the film that gave shape to the character Zé do Caixão - who, so popular, ended up completely personifying in the figure of the actor, screenwriter and filmmaker. In the plot, we follow the story of a sadistic and cruel gravedigger who rapes a woman to generate a perfect child, continuing his lineage. However, the violated woman plans a suicide to return from the world of the dead and take revenge on the gravedigger. Even with budget limitations, Zé do Caixão shows that terror can come from advanced and elaborate filming and makeup techniques."
