Avery Hansen-White doesn't do things she isn't excellent at. So when her long-distance boyfriend hints at wanting to take their relationship to the next level, she sets out to master her sexuality, employing her oldest friend, Larson, as a test subject. In this hilarious teen comedy, Avery's study results in the realization that there's more to sex, and love, than mechanics. Relationships require both head and heart.
"Despite the title 'Sex Appeal', this movie brings a good life lesson, mixing humor with drama. In the plot, Avery (Mika Abdalla) is a teenager who loves science, 'Star Trek' and, mainly, Spock. She even speaks Vulcan, which is the character's native language. Avery also has a tendency towards perfectionism and this characteristic comes to the fore when she decides to plan her first time with her long-distance boyfriend. The feature shows the protagonist's journey of maturity in the school context, relationships and also the future. With a well-constructed and entertaining narrative, 'Sex Appeal' is an excellent and very entertaining teenage production."
