Why watch the movie Fire Island?
"Comedy LGBTQIA+ inspired by Jane Austen's 'Pride & Prejudice', 'Fire Island' tells the story of two best friends (Joel Kim Booster and Bowen Yang) who decide to embark on a legendary summer adventure with the help of cheap rosé wine and their eclectic group of friends. Set in a gay vacation destination near Long Island, New York, the feature film plays with the diverse and multicultural look of the queer world, making a comedy that doesn't laugh at this audience, but laughs with this audience. It's worth it for the good stories and the importance of inclusion that the movie promotes."
