An unhappily married aristocrat begins a torrid affair with the gamekeeper on her husband's country estate.
"A new cinematic adaptation of the eponymous (controversial at the time) novel by D.H. Lawrence, 'Lady Chatterley's Lover' is about the titular woman, Connie (Emma Corrin, 'My Policeman'), the wife of a wealthy gentleman who returns from the First World War with injuries that prevent him from walking or taking care of himself, making Connie feel trapped in the marriage. Then she meets Oliver Mellors (Jack O'Connell- 'Unbroken'), the estate's caretaker, with whom she takes refuge and experiences her true sexual awakening. Directed by Laure de Clermont-Tonnerre ('Mustang: Wild Spirit'), it is one of the best adaptations of the novel, which although it does not bring many novelties in terms of narrative, is refreshing for its direct and frank treatment of female eroticism."
