Mr. Malcolm's List

""Mr. Malcolm's List" directed by Emma Holly Jones is a delightful period romance-comedy set in 19th century England. The film follows Julia Thistlewaite, played by Zawe Ashton, who is jilted by the most eligible bachelor, Mr. Malcolm, played by Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù, after failing to meet an item on his list of requirements for a bride. Determined to exact revenge, Julia convinces her friend Selina Dalton, played by Freida Pinto, to play the role of Mr. Malcolm's ideal match. What follows is a charming and witty tale of love, deception, and self-discovery. The film pays homage to Jane Austen's works and references countless Regency romps, but it manages to stand out with its diverse cast and fresh take on the genre. The chemistry between the leads is palpable, and the supporting cast, including Oliver Jackson-Cohen and Ashley Park, add depth and humor to the story. Overall, "Mr. Malcolm's List" is a well-crafted and entertaining film that will leave you with a smile on your face. It's a must-see for fans of the genre and anyone looking for a charming and light-hearted romantic movie."
