Five boys search for the promised land in a journey to nowhere.

Why watch the movie The Kings of the World?
"Exclusive Colombian film for Netflix directed by Laura Mora Ortega and awarded at the San Sebastián Festival with the Golden Conch for Best Film. 'Los reyes del mundo' is the story of five street boys from Medellín who embark on a journey to recover the lands returned to one of them, but everything - and at the same time, nothing - happens to them on the way. The film adopts the conventions of the road movie and mixes them with elements of cozy reverie and visual poetry that elevate it above its moments of miserable and nihilistic exploration - so characteristic of Latin American social cinema -. If you want to know more about contemporary Colombian cinema, it is an interesting approach."

Rá, Culebro, Sere, Winny and Nano. Five boys who live on the streets of Medellín. Five kings with no kingdom, no law, no family, set out on a journey in search of the promised land. A subversive tale told through a wild and endearing clan, somewhere between reality and delirium. A journey to nowhere, where everything happens.
