"A charming and fun British film, reminiscent of the style of 'Paddington' stories, 'The Amazing Maurice' is an old-fashioned fairy tale: a cat (Hugh Laurie from 'House'), a child (Himesh Patel) and a band of talking rats go from town to town committing small frauds - although the rats are also victims, believing in the grandiose story of the cat Maurice about going to some kind of animal paradise. However, everything becomes unexpectedly dangerous when they stop in a town with rat hunters who ruin this unlikely group's plan.
