Why watch the movie The Plains?
"A curious - and surprisingly emotional - cinematic exercise in real time about one of the most mundane and tedious activities of existence: the daily journey back home from work. 'The Plains' puts the camera - and us - in the back seat of a car as a fifty-year-old man and his younger companion make the trip back home. What could be a tedious experience reveals surprising layers of emotion and revelation for those willing to take on this film under its peculiar terms."
