"In a similar vein to Inside Out and Soul, Elemental is a Pixar animation that uses anthropomorphic characters to tell us an allegory. In this case, the studio employs people made of water, fire, air, and earth to create a metaphor about diversity and intolerance in civilizations. The story follows Ember, a fire girl who is preparing to inherit her father's shop, an immigrant in the Element City, when things start to go wrong. She teams up with Wade, a water boy, to solve a series of problems, and the pair begins to fall in love despite water and fire not mixing. Even though the film explores themes that have been seen in other Pixar and Disney films, the story is tender, and the animation is beautiful, so fans of the studio will love it."
