"Bird Box was one of the most successful horror bets from Netflix, so it's no surprise that the platform has sought to expand the franchise with a new production. The result, coming from Spain, is Bird Box Barcelona, which tells the story of Sebastián (Mario Casas) on a dangerous survival journey after humanity has been annihilated. The movie is not an exact remake or sequel, but a spin-off set in the same universe as the previous Sandra Bullock film and with a multicultural cast that includes Georgina Campbell (Brutal Nights) and Diego Calva (Babylon). It's not particularly original, so it might not be for you if you're looking for something different than the first movie.
