Why watch the movie Diary of a Fleeting Affair?
"Selected at Cannes, Diary of a Fleeting Affair is an intelligent and emotional French romantic comedy that soberly addresses a thorny topic: extramarital love. The plot follows a married man (Vincent Macaigne) and a single mother (Sandrine Kiberlain), who establish a relationship for purely sexual purposes, without discussing a future together. However, as they explore their feelings and the nature of their lives, they begin to grow closer. Though filled with dialogue and a healthy dose of existentialism, it is a film that retains its emotional depth, elevated by the quality of its script and lead performances. If you enjoy the films of Éric Rohmer or Woody Allen, you’re sure to enjoy this one."
