With a tone of ironic yet subdued comedy, in the vein of "Napoleon Dynamite" or Wes Anderson's films, the movie provides a complex portrait of its protagonist, though stumbling in its presentation of the rest of the characters. Nonetheless, it's an entertaining tale about learning to find our place when we think we've lost what's most valuable in our lives."
