In the 1970s and '80s, National Lampoon's success and influence creates a new media empire overseen in part by the brilliant and troubled Doug Kenney.
"National Lampoon was one of the great proponents of humor in the US between the 1970s and 1980s, even diversifying into other media - the classic 'Vacation' from the Sessão da Tarde is a great example. What this original Netflix film does is, with a lot of humor and a pinch of nonsense, show the factors that led to the publication's success and, consequently, led to its end. It is worth noting that the production is not taken seriously, including dissonant costumes and (mainly) wigs, but it is part of the charm that the movie tries to build."
