The last year of elementary school as seen through the eyes of a class pet. A jaded 74-year-old lizard named Leo has been stuck in the same Florida classroom for decades with his turtle terrarium-mate. When he learns that he only has one year left to live, he plans to escape to experience life on the outside, but instead gets caught up in his anxious students' problems--such as an impossibly mean substitute teacher.

"A fun animated comedy exclusively on Netflix produced by Happy Madison Productions, Adam Sandler's company, who also co-writes and voices the protagonist in English. "Leo" is about a lizard that has been living in a classroom terrarium for years and undergoes an existential crisis when he hears that he's old and has little time left. Thus, he decides to escape to do something meaningful with his life, embarking on an extraordinary adventure. The script tells a simple but heartfelt story with light existential touches, making it suitable for both children and adults."
