"This Russian horror film is inspired by the controversial "Blue Whale Challenge" social media trend, associated with several deaths and which began to spread around 2016, mainly in Russia. #Blue_Whale tells the story of a teenager, Dana, who delves into the deep web to investigate the mysterious death of her sister, a sudden and mysterious suicide on the train tracks. It's another one of those horror films that explores our relationship with technology, with its imagery mainly manifesting within screens – be it on the phone or computer. In a similar vein to movies like Host or the thriller Searching…, for example. If you enjoyed any of those films, #Blue_Whale is for you."
