Why watch the movie The Doomsday Cult of Antares De La Luz?
"In recent Chilean history, there are few criminal cases as infamous as the apocalyptic cult created by Ramón Gustavo Castillo Gaete, under the belief that the world would end in 2012. The Doomsday Cult of Antares De La Luz is a documentary that follows the same vein as other Netflix true crime productions: it includes dramatizations and re-enactments, plus testimonials from those involved in the sinister acts of the cult, shedding light on their motivations – and consequences. If you're already familiar with the story, there's nothing new to see here. If it was unknown to you, be warned: Castillo and his followers were capable of shocking and disturbing acts."
