One hint, 6 chances, and a new movie to guess every day
An intimately raw and magical journey through the life, mind, and heart of iconic artist Frida Kahlo. Told through her own words for the very first time — drawn from her diary, revealing letters, essays, and print interviews — and brought vividly to life by lyrical animation inspired by her unforgettable artwork.

"Frida is the directorial debut feature of Carla Gutiérrez, who has been an essential part as an editor of documentaries such as Chavela Vargas, RBG, and Julia, among others. Awarded at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival (on the 70th anniversary of the titular painter's death), this documentary builds its narrative from two fundamental elements of Frida Kahlo as an artist: the animation of her most iconic paintings with her own writings about her life, narrated by the voice of actress Fernanda Echevarría (and mixed with archival photographs). While the result may be somewhat didactic, it is also, unquestionably, one of the most authentic portraits of Frida Kahlo."
